Constitutional Guarantee of the Right to Work
The Bhartiya Samyavadi Party advocates for treating the Right to Work as a fundamental constitutional right. This includes legally binding employment guarantees in urban and rural areas, accompanied by standardized unemployment allowances during fallow seasons.
We propose establishing a National Work Registry where job seekers are placed in public construction projects, watershed management works, and educational support groups at statutory wages.
Wage Protection & Worker Representation
To counter inflation, we propose a national minimum wage indexed directly to local living costs and updateable bi-annually. All workers, including casual, platform, and domestic workers, must fall under statutory wage and healthcare insurance codes.
We stand for worker representation on enterprise boards, ensuring that industrial decisions are made democratically by those who generate the value.
Public Ownership of Essential Infrastructure
Core sectors such as telecommunications, mining, heavy transport, and energy generation must be held under public ownership. Private monopolies in these sectors inflate costs for the public and concentrate resources in few hands.
We advocate for heavy public sector investment financed by progressive wealth taxes on corporate monopolies.
